Brand your employees' training
Put your organization's name, logo, and support contact on the training emails, learner pages, and certificates your employees see.
Branding lets your employees recognize their training as coming from your organization. They see your name and logo on the emails that assign their courses, in the learner portal, and on their certificates. You set it up once in Settings, and it applies to every employee in your organization.
Branding is not white labeling. Every web address, link, and sending address stays Hook's, so mail keeps reaching your employees' inboxes and the links in it keep working. Where an employee can see a Hook address, a short line tells them Hook delivers the email or page for you.
What your employees see
Once your brand has a logo or a display name, your employees see it in these places:
- Training emails. Assignment, reminder, completion, and weekly summary emails show your logo, use your accent color for their buttons, and name your organization as the sender, for example "Acme Security Training". The sending address is still Hook's, and each email ends with a line saying Hook delivers it for you.
- The learner portal. Employees see your logo in the portal, and the browser tab names your organization.
- Certificates. Completion certificates say they are issued by your organization and show your logo. They carry no Hook mark.
Some things stay as they are:
- Reports and the emails that deliver them.
- Admin invitations and automation emails.
- The org portal you and your fellow admins use. If an MSP manages your account, the portal still shows it as the company that manages your account.
If an MSP manages your account and has set up its own brand, your brand takes its place for your employees. Your MSP's brand still appears on your reports and in your org portal.
Training emails need full migration
Branding reaches the training emails Hook sends itself. If your training hasn't moved to Hook yet, your employees keep getting training emails from the previous system, unbranded, until it is migrated. See Full migration.
Turn on branding
Hook turns branding on for each organization. If you don't see Branding in Settings, contact Hook support, or your MSP if one manages your account, and ask for organization branding.
Set up your brand
Open Settings in the sidebar and choose Branding.
Upload your logo as a PNG or JPEG of 2 MB or less. A wide logo on a transparent or white background works best. Hook resizes it for you.
Add a display name if you want something other than your organization's name, and pick an accent color. Text on the accent color is adjusted so it stays readable.
Check the preview of a training email header, then save.
A change applies to everything sent after you save. Emails that already went out and certificates that were already downloaded keep what they had.
A brand needs a logo or a display name to show up anywhere. An accent color or a support contact on its own leaves your employees seeing what they saw before: your MSP's brand if it has one, otherwise Hook's.
If an MSP manages your account, its admins can set up your brand for you from your account.
To remove your brand, use the reset option on the same page. Reset clears your name, logo, color, and support contact.
Send employee questions to your help desk
You can point your employees' questions to your own IT or help desk. Add a support email, and optionally a support web address and phone number, then turn on support routing.
While routing is on:
- Training emails tell employees to contact your organization with questions.
- Help and support links in the learner portal go to your support contact.
With routing off, your brand still shows. Employee questions go to your MSP if it has set up its own support contact, and training emails name your MSP as the contact. Otherwise questions go to Hook, and training emails carry no contact line.
Routing only changes where your employees go for help. Your admins keep the same Support page in the org portal.
Turning branding off
Hook can turn branding off for your organization. Your employees then see your MSP's brand or Hook's again, and your saved brand is kept, so turning it back on restores it as it was.
Re-enroll training from your previous system
Move people with unfinished training from your previous training system into the new LMS, choosing which courses, how recent, and which email they get.
Understand and configure Autopilot
See what Autopilot is running, turn Phishing and Training Autopilot on or off, and choose how often each program runs and who it reaches.
